Job description:
● Implement the school music curricula (German Curriculum)
● Plan and prepare Music lessons
● Assess, keep records and reports
● Manage instruments and notes
● Organize special music events (e.g. Christmas Choir in Osaka, Oktoberfest)
● Liaise with class teachers to develop curriculum documents and development plans
● Identify Music related professional development opportunities and report to Principal
● Ensure environment which promotes musical opportunities for students after school
● Cooperate with other project group members and class teachers to create a learning environment which optimizes musical education
● Study ways to integrate acoustic learning into teaching routines
● Explore possibilities of musical performances (e.g. Sankt Martin, Christmas Market)
● Liaise with teacher in charge of musical matters
● Update resources reflecting new musical developments
● take responsibility for the progress of the students in your class
● organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment based on inquiry learning
● provide a variety of learning materials and resources for using relevant technology to support instruction
● plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class (individualized learning)
● motivate students with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
● maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and agreements of the school
● provide feedback to parents and legal representatives on a students´ progress at parents´ evenings and other meetings
● work with others to plan and coordinate work
● keep up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
● organise and take part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
● liaise with colleagues and work flexibly

Starting immediately until August 2023.
