Job description Homeroom Teacher
● Teach all areas of the curriculum, keeping up to date with changes and development
● Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment
● Provide personalised learning materials and resources for using relevant technology to support instruction
● Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class (personalised learning)
● Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and agreements of the school
● Meet requirements for the assessment and maintain accurate and complete records of pupils development
● Provide feedback to parents or legal guardians on a pupils progress at parents evenings and other meetings
● Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly
● Meet with other professionals such as educational psychologists, in order to resolve problems the students may have
● Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence
● Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
● Prepare and mark work to facilitate positive student development
● Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and support colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
● Work with others to plan and coordinate work
● Keep up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
● Organise and take part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Start date:
Starting immediately until August 2023.
