Key Tasks and Responsibilities
STAFFING DUTIES
Boarding staff are required to work in accordance with the job descriptions and specific directives as determined by the Vice Principal.
The very nature of residential positions requires a flexible staffing approach to undertake commitments over and above regular duties from time to time.
It is the responsibility of the Director of Boarding to ensure that their dormitory is staffed in accordance with the following guidelines:
A member of staff must be present and on duty in each dormitory at all times when students are sleeping.
Boarding Heads must effectively and closely work with and manage our team of Boarding Parents as part of every day duties.
A physical hand-over between duties must occur when one member of staff takes over from another.
Staff on duty must have a ‘presence’. They should never be in their room with doors closed unless circumstances dictate it necessary and agreed with the Vice Principal.
