职位描述:
Job Role & Responsibilities
To deliver quality and effective IB (PYP MYP and/or DP) Chinese classes to the students and make
appropriate curriculum planning and implementation.
To perform daily teaching tasks like independent and differentiated teaching, grading, campus
supervision, enrichments and clubs.
To build, modify, and reflect on the Chinese language curriculum; and maintain and reflect on his/her
Chinese language teaching.
To support whole school activities such as Chinese New Year celebration, MYP Community Project, MYP
Personal Project, DP Extended Essay, EtonHouse challenges, and/or International Day.
To provide professional learning strategies to students, in and out of the classroom.
Work with the Lead Chinese Teacher to develop, improve and monitor systems of assessment for
students entering the school, using data such as HSK, so that childrens language needs can be quickly
and accurately catered for.
To do IB assessment for learning within Chinese, developing appropriate IB assessment tools and
methods of IB appropriate assessment in line with the best current international practice.
Report student’s academic progress, using Managebac and See Saw, to parents.
Conduct conferences with students and parents/responsible adult.
Alert administrators to any concerns about student performance and progress in a timely manner.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of national and international initiatives and teaching practice, by
attending relevant courses as well as implementing training programmes for team members.
To work collaboratively with other teachers in the Department, positively build relationships with other
colleagues, professionals, staff and administrators, students, and parents.

Requirement:
Qualifications/Training
Bachelor’s Degree or above
Master’s Degree or Teaching Certificate in Chinese Language Education is preferred
A major in Chinese language and literature and a major in teaching Chinese as a second language are
preferred
Experience / Knowledge
Previous IB experience is preferred
At least 2 years’ experience in teaching Chinese

Good command of oral and written English
Good knowledge of Chinese culture and history;
An ability to collaborate with a diverse group in an effective and harmonious manner
Open minded to new methods and different opinions, and willingness to be a risk taker
An ability to adapt and change when necessary
